Křivoklát: medieval castle and a visit to glasswork

A unique half-day trip to the mediaeval royal castle of Křivoklát, with an excursion to the traditional glassworks in Nižbor and a three-course tasting lunch in a famous local restaurant. 

This very nice half-day trip starts in Prague in the morning hours. After a journey of about 45 minutes in a comfortable air-conditioned minibus with refreshments and wi-fi available on board, we will arrive at one of the most amazing Czech castles, Křivoklát, located deep in the beautiful landscape of Central Bohemia. Křivoklát is one of the oldest Czech castles. We will visit its amazing Gothic chapel, the infamous dungeon and torture chambers with their instruments, and the monumental main castle tower. We will spend about one and a half hours visiting the most important parts of the castle together.

After about half an hour-long journey there is one more excursion, to the stunning glassworks in Nižbor, where you can admire the art of traditional Czech crystal glass and the skills of the glassmakers, passed down through the generations, optionally with some shopping at the end of the visit.

After this fantastic visit, you will be already hungry for sure! No worries, there is a tasting lunch in a cosy local restaurant ready for you. You will enjoy fantastic food in Old Bohemian Style but in a very modern version. Also, some beer or wine tasting will be ready for you.

Expected return to Prague about 4 PM

Important information: Saturdays and Sundays are the glassworks closed. These days the excursion in the glassworks is replaced by a visit to the brewery with tasting locally made beers. Price and schedule of the trip remain the same.

Price includes: English-speaking guide, admission fee to Křivoklát Castle, three-course tasting lunch with a beer or non-alcoholic beverage, entrance fee to glassworks, light refreshment during the journey, complimentary wi-fi on board

Not included: Extra drinks during lunch, tips for the guide, pick-up at your hotel (8 EUR per person), drop-off at your hotel (8 EUR per person).
