Day in the Sky – The world’s longest suspension footbridge, a trail in the clouds and a mammoth bobsleigh track
Two and a half hours from Prague there is a fantastic place called Dolní Morava. It is a small town at the foot of the Jeseníky and Orlické Mountains. Quite an ordinary foothill town. But in the mountains above, that’s where things happen!
Tell me, where else can you walk on the longest suspension footbridge in the world, admire the view from a 55-meter-high trail in the clouds at the top of a mountain and ride on a 3-kilometer-long bobsled in one day? And have a fantastic lunch with a view of the mountain valleys and peaks?
All this will offer you an unforgettable day in Dolní Morava. After two and a half hours in an air-conditioned minibus with wi-fi onboard and unlimited soft drinks, we arrive from Prague to Dolní Morava. We will take a comfortable modern funicular to a height of 1119 meters. A two-kilometer circuit over the world’s longest suspension footbridge, 721 meters long and 95 meters high at its highest point, awaits us. The bridge over the mountain valley between the peaks offers breathtaking views and pictorial vistas.
Upon our return, we will have a three-course lunch and after that, we will head to the Trail in the Clouds, a 55-meter high viewpoint at the top of the mountain at 1119 meters above sea level. From the top of the Trail in the Clouds, you can see up to 80 kilometers in clear weather. Down from the viewpoint, we can go down the 100-meter long toboggan slide.
Finally, before we take the cable car back down to the valley, you can try the 3 km long mammoth bobsleigh track, the longest in the Czech Republic and the second-longest in Europe. In total, you’ll have 25 turns, a 360° carousel and figure-eight loop, 4 swings, and terrain waves, at speeds of up to 50 km/h
And that’s an experience !!!
